Notes from Marla's field log:

We drove to a car ferry landing, took the ferry across (good filming opportunity, rusty ferry, interesting landing), and drove again a few kilometers to visit the village of Rajnagar Srinathgram, also in the process of drilling their well.

We met with the village water committee, who were very knowledgable about the project. We talked about the meetings that had been held in the community on various topics, such as hygiene education and SHG (self help group) formation.

We participated in a ceremony where we blessed the well, placing 1 Rupee and .25 Rupee coins on the filter pipe, stuck on there with mud. Hindus offering blessings from earth to above and from earth to below, and this was the latter.
