BEAN raises $5,000 for Water 1st at July date auctionWater 1st is pleased to have been selected as the charity of the year for BEAN, a web-based social organization for young professionals in Seattle. BEAN coordinates business and social networking opportunities for its members and encourages them to support charitable causes, such as safe water or habitat restoration.

Each year, BEAN runs a Think Global Act Local campaign, which educates the group's members about a specific non-profit organization and raises money for the cause through a series of events. At the end of July, BEAN held a date auction, which raised $5,000 in one night! That put them well over half way to their goal of $10,000 for the year. On behalf of the many people who will receive safe water as a result of BEAN's activities, Water 1st extends a heartfelt, "Thank You!" |
