Five hundred guests came together in support of Water 1st on October 22 for Seattle's 7th Annual Give Water-Give Life Benefit. Together, we raised $540,000 for clean water and sanitation projects for communities in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, India, and Honduras. Guests enjoyed a unique silent auction and international bazaar, dinner, and a Water 1st presentation featuring special guest, Meselech Seyoum, from our Ethiopian partner organization. Jim Moore and Kristi Branch were presented with the 2011 Water Ambassador Award for their important role in making the work of Water 1st possible.
A heartfelt thank you to all who supported the event - the many event sponsors, dedicated volunteers, silent auction donors, and those who gave their financial resources so the world's poorest can meet their most basic needs. Thank you, Seattle, for your continued generosity, compassion, and commitment to solving the world water crisis, one community at a time.
