Give Water Give Life

Our Give Water Give Life Benefits consist of a dinner, a silent auction featuring unique items from the countries where we work, and a Water 1st film and presentation. Ranging from 150 to 700 guests, these events are a fun and meaningful way to raise money for clean water projects. The 2012 Seattle Give Water Give Life event raised $660,000.

Carry 5

Carry 5 walks can be held at schools, places of worship, local parks and workplaces. Individuals and teams raise money for water projects, and on walk day, carry up to 5 gallons of water for 5 kilometers. For just one day, experience what 1 billion people do every day.

Featuring tasty, local beverages, food, live music and dancing, Water 1st – Beer 2nd events are a fun way to introduce new people to the cause and raise money for the world’s poorest.

Water 1st has a unique program designed specifically for schools and young people. Using our Water Day curriculum - a DVD/film and presentation, classroom discussion, various writing, arts, math, science, and fundraising activities – students learn about the global water crisis and Water 1st’s response in holistic, integrative ways.

If every American gave $5/month, we’d raise enough money to provide water and sanitation for all people in just 5 years. It takes so little to make a difference when we all work together.

Ethiopia Water Tour

February 9 – 15, 2013

Accompany Water 1st staff to Ethiopia for a week-long, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit in-progress and completed water projects. Carry water and interact with community members, be part of the Tute Kunche community water inauguration celebration/ceremony, meet representatives from our partner organization, and spend a day helping a community build a water project. Learn how clean water transforms the lives of the world’s poorest.
