Pamela CopelandArtist, Designer, Project ManagerPamela Copeland was a designer and project manager of retail stores in the northeast, mid-Atlantic and southeast areas of the US and sought to improve retail companies’ ability to present their stores and products for optimum success. Pam’s work as a project manager required her to bring her creative talents together with her marketing skills, with accent on “out of the box” problem solving to numerous well-known retail clients. In addition, Pam has been involved in fundraising and event planning for various causes. She has devoted herself to helping raise awareness of young adults on the causes and prevention of AIDS through her education and public awareness forums. She has worked to help children with special needs through fundraising, and Pam has given much time, talent and energy to the arts community in her native Connecticut. Pam has traveled extensively throughout the world in pursuit of her artistic profession but it was her travels to the Middle East and Africa that drew her to the cause of helping developing countries establish sustainable water sources. In the townships of South Africa, Pam saw firsthand the desperate need to provide these struggling communities with the most basic human need, access to safe drinking water. Pam moved to Seattle, WA in 2003 with her husband and young daughter; she is very active in the local art community and school associations. |
