Ann Marie Hitchcock

Ann Marie has an extensive and diverse background in the media/communications industry. She currently works for Fisher Communications, Inc., a broadcasting company owning and operating 10 television and 27 radio stations in Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, including KOMO 4 TV, KOMO 1000 News, and KPLZ Star 101.5 in Seattle.

Ann Marie moved to Seattle in early 2002 after working in the broadcasting industry at Turner Entertainment in Atlanta, Georgia, DirecTV Latin America in South Florida, serving in such positions as Broadcast Operations Supervisor and On-Air Director.

Growing up on the beach in St. Augustine, Florida, Ann Marie is very much moved by water causes of all types whether it is clean water for the coastal environment to live, work and play in, or survival for life, such as clean drinking water.

Ann Marie enjoys the outdoors, exploring the Northwest and is very active in the non-profit community supporting causes such as the Northwest School Benefit, the 2006 JazzFest benefiting Hurricane Katrina, the Humane Society, and other wildlife organizations. She is currently a member of the Surfrider Foundation, a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches.
